View Our Forestry Rallying PhotosA lot about Forestry Rallying is the same as Tarmac Rallying but there are a few major differences. The biggest is the surface which is gravel or dirt tracks, the setup of the car that takes part and the crews are not allowed to make detailed pacenotes of the stages. In forestry rallying the club organizing the event provides a set of pacenotes for each stage for the competitors to buy plus a DVD.
Then the crew can follow each stage using the DVD as a guide before the event starts and adapt the pacenotes to their own format. Tyres are also different because they need to be able to withstand a lot more punishment from the surface.
